Before I entered Cambodia I thought helping and being OF help meant the same thing. Penh Lo, who has said this over and over, got everyone in our group a little bit confused. At least, for some of us it was. Now I understand the difference of helping and being of service.

In this photo, as I am taking it going into the capital of Phnom Penh, I didn’t realize how much it spoke to me personally afterwards. There is so much going on. The photo speaks to me by saying, “I am busy; I’ve got places to go, and I have things to get done.” I also have never seen so much traffic just to get into a city, either. I chose this photo because I believe it reflects what I learned in Cambodia. The people of Cambodia don’t need help; they are striving to do better and growing at an exponential rate. There are things in Cambodia that need to be serviced, like anywhere on the planet, but never in need to be helped.
