Two days ago, I finally arrived the place that I called home (Cambodia). However, everything has changed a lot since I left 6.5 yr ago. I couldn’t recognized any places or buildings at all until I saw the name “Preak Yok Kuntor High School” on the building entrance. Then, I realized that it was the school that I went to when I lived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I was surprisingly shock to see how much the city and overall the whole country has changed.

One thing that hit me the most is when I encountered Khmer people and they treat me as a stranger, a foreigner, or someone that is different from them. Sometimes I find myself in a situation where I’m not sure of what language to used, Khmer or English, when my people keep speaking English to me and when I respond back in Khmer they were surprised. However, I am happy that I finally am able to understand every single words that the people here are using. Well, maybe not every single words but the majority of it.
